Well OK the stab isn't very useful most of the time but he comboes wonderfully with a lot of classes thanks to unlimited heals and slapping, well, combo tokens on whatever you want. The best base build I've used so far is the Occultist. The Shieldbreaker in DD1 was OP enough that her snake ambushes on rest made some sense, this doesn't. Still baffled as to him making a powerful miniboss randomly spawn post-battle. I actually like Highwayman's base build, it's route dependant but you like Tracking Shot against the dogs even if it's definitely the most expendable skill.įlagellant has a couple good base skills but I feel he also needs love. He's tanky as well and all but whiffing half the time, or having to build the team around his weakness, just doesn't do it. man he was mah boi in DD1 but his main attack blinding him is such a crushing weakness. A middling amount of dot resistance is not worth an activation unless in very specific circumstances, much less a precious mastery point to make it suck less. Plague Doc is good once you replace Ounce of Prevention.

That plus unlocking the new skills, some of the base build are rather weak. For example I tried for a bit a deadeye graverobber and she hits HARD with the daggers. From what I've seen, you get passive improvements with the candles, trinkets as you said, and specializations.
